- If you have a tablet or phone as your device, you have the option of downloading the app or accessing them online.
- If you have a laptop or desktop computer, you can access the online versions.

STEP 2: UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTIONAL GOALS
- Students will use the PebbleGo Science online database to research germs and illnesses, such as the coronavirus
- Students will use the PebbleGo Science online database to identify healthy habits
STEP 3: LEADING QUESTIONS
- Ask students the following questions:
- What are germs?
- How do germs affect people?
- What kinds of illnesses and diseases come from germs?
- "Healthy Habits" are things people can do to stay healthy and to stop the spread of germs. Brainstorm a list of healthy habits.
STEP 4: HOW TO USE PEBBLE GO
- Watch the tutorial below.
STEP 5: CONDUCTING RESEARCH
- Access the PebbleGo Science online database and navigate through to the "Science" > "Life Science" > "Humans" > "Staying Healthy" > "Feeling Sick" section
- Select the article titled “What Are Germs?” Click on different tabs within the article to navigate through the information.
- You can use the read aloud feature by clicking the appropriate icon to the left of the text.
- Conduct more research about germs and illnesses by reading the articles “What Are Germs,” “Viruses,” and “COVID-19.”
